Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

June 30, 2013 After a long drive from Charlotte NC we were in search of dinner. This is a recently opened Olive Garden. It was a stormy night in Myrtle Beach. We arrived on the tail end of the dinner rush. We were tired from the ride and requested a booth. No problem getting one. There were lots of very large parties enjoying there entrees. The manager was busy going around making sure everyone was happy. They seemed to be some problems with the kitchen. Apparently a lot of big parties came in at the same time. TIP: if you see a big party try to get your order in before there's that should cut down on any problems with your meals. Dear Hubby ordered Steak Gorgonzola Medium with Pasta e Fagioli Soup. I ordered the Chicken Parm and same soup. I would love it if the Olive Garden would make a whole grain bread stick. They are just bland and disgusting. TIP: if you are out with your pre-teen children and they are wondering around the Olive Garden disturbing other folks maybe you should get your dessert to go or pay for our dinner. Little children I can understand but 12 to 15 year old children should know how to stay in there seats. The waitress spoke to them once but they only went back to there seats for a couple of minutes then they were wondering around again. Yikes! There is plenty of parking and they have a full bar. It was fine for a chain

Had a very good lunch at this location. The service started at the front door with Judy. She was happy to see us enter the restaurant and greeted us warmly. She listened to our table request and made us completely comfortable with the dining room location. Tabby, our server was brand new. She was personable and she was engaged in her job! The food was excellent and she checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed! She was an A+! If you are in the 501 Tanger Outlet area, check them out!

Awesome dinner. Service was great and food was very appetizing. Dessert was very good. Place was clean and servers were quick and efficient!

We stopped in for the salad, soup and breadsticks. The food was good. What we were thrilled with was the excellent service from the staff. The hostess seated us quickly and the waitress showed up right after and took our drink order. She was very friendly and helpful explaining the special additions to the menu. I know this is only one visit but we thought it was our best visit to any Olive Garden. The staff does make a difference.

Service was very slow, and this was with ordering the soup and salad only. Food was good though.

My wife wanted to treat my 4yo son to come here cause he loves the breadsticks. Initially we were going to the Olive Garden on the strip but after learning of the hour long wait for a table, I remembered seeing this one on the drive in and called, luckily no wait. The decor is very fresh and new. The food is what is to be expected. I did have a few minor complaints which I'll list but overall it was a good experience. I asked for water with my initial drink order and never got it. Had to request it again with my meal. We ordered my sons food right away with our drink order cause he was hungry and it helps to calm him down. We were told it went to the wrong table so he had to wait. Basically just some minor server issues. But nothing to ruin the experience.

I'll start off by stating that I am not a fan of Myrtle Beach area restaurants. I have walked out of many more than I have actually dined in, and in the nearly 20 years I have been coming to this area, I can list on one hand how many were worth a repeat visit. That said, I have to say I found a gem today, which is the new Olive Garden on 501 across from the Tanger Outlets. We arrived around 1130 for lunch, and were greeted by a Hostess who opened and held the door for us. We were seated quickly, and the waitress "Samantha" was everything that you could hope for...courteous, attentive, and pleasant. We had the unlimited soup, salad and bread-sticks with a side order of spaghetti and sausage meat-sauce. What I REALLY appreciated was Samantha stopping and asking us if we wanted refills BEFORE we were completely finished any of the items, which resulted in a constant supply of, you guessed it, soup, salad and bread-sticks!! The restaurant was spotless, outside, inside, rest rooms, everywhere we could see. The staff was beyond attentive, and every employee that we encountered was polite, smiling and constantly busy. There are a lot of restaurants in this area that could take a lesson from this particular Olive Garden. I even went out of my way to pass on my appreciation to the manager. All I can hope for is that this restaurant doesn't change, and is every bit as good the next time we stop by. OK, I do tend to be over critical on occasion, and have been accused of being a "germaphobe", but I have to say, I couldn't find fault with one thing....OH, AND BEFORE I FORGET, THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!!

We went to Olive Garden over the weekend for dinner mainly because we got a free entree coupon in the mail. We've been to many Olive Gardens in the past, and it's not that it's ever a bad experience, the food just doesn't blow us away for the prices. So many local spots are miles better than this and may be cheaper too. Because of this opinion in going to base this review assuming you love Olive Garden and look forward to going there, or choose it over many other options. In terms of this Olive Garden it was a great experience. We went in on a Sunday night of a holiday weekend and got a table for two with no wait at around 6:45; so pretty much prime time. Our servers were great, they were really attentive, kept my water full, and our food came out hot and fast. The only thing that seemed strange was that we got food very quickly after getting salad, which was nice but it was a little too fast. Otherwise we had no complaints. The food was good, I had chicken parmesan and she had shrimp alfredo. We both enjoyed the meals to a point. I won't say this is the last time we will ever go to an Olive Garden, but it's the first time in two years we've gone to one. We will almost always pick a different place over it.

Maybe because this location is on the main HWY going in and out of Myrtle Beach, the servers, bar tender and host were exceptionally grateful for the customers. Another words, they did not take it for granted, the location was going to guarantee a tip. Menu has changed and is a lighter Italian cuisine. Which is nice, because sometimes the rich dishes wee not enjoyable. I would stop again at this location, only because the service truly values the customers who walk through the restaurant doors. Even if they are vacationers and do not return for another 365 days.

This location is better than the one in central Myrtle Beach. They offer Gluten Free pasta, even on the all you can eat offers. They'll also happily provide salad bowls without crutons in them, making that an option too.

Had dinner tonight at The Olive Garden 73 Rodeo Dr, Myrtle Beach. Our Waiter's name was Paul S. We received the best service tonight that we have ever received in a restaurant in this area. Paul was extremely courteous and was very attentive to our table. Thanks Paul for making our meal enjoyable, we will certainly be back and we will be sure to ask for one of your tables!

We had dinner here last night and the restaurant was having a problem with getting the food out. Amanda, the service manager, was very accommodating and really took care of us. We were impressed by customer service. We will be back.

One star only because I have to.. salads and soup came out right for our party of 6. Had to beg for more breadsticks and water refills. We finished soup/salads and after 45 mins we asked where our food was. My mother-in law hunted down our waitress and a manager. 5 mins later they brought one plate to the table. Chicken scampi, it was cold and hard. No one else's food came. Once again we tracked down the manager and told her of the issue. She took the cold scampi away and apologized. 10mins later they brought out all 6 plates. The chicken scampi that we sent back was microwaved and sent back to us! So yet again we track down the manager. She was working in the kitchen and had no idea that the scampi was nuked and sent back to us. My tour de mare was half cold and half warm on a hot plate.. we asked the waitress and the manager for refills that never came. All the other plates were ok. The manager blamed the waitress and the waitress blamed the kitchen. After nearly 3 hrs they sent the bill which the waitress couldn't figure out. At first they only comped the 2 bad dishes, I told the manager that that wasn't good enough, so she comped all 6 orders and said she would work on improving the waitress. The end result was 6 very upset people, one of which didn't get to eat. My son who was way late for bedtime and a nasty taste for Olive Garden. We will return in a few months or so...
